Foodbank NT

Foodbank NT's sole aim is to feed the vulnerable people by redistributing surplus food. We are the largest hunger relief organisation in the Territory - support through volunteering or food appeals.

Food for Life

Food for Life is a simple, but vital ministry for Territorians struggling to make ends meet. Operating through the local churches, Food for Life consists of a small supermarket and a cafe.

Schools Program

Almost one in six school-aged children in the Northern Territory skip breakfast (ABS, 2015) and one of the primary reasons is because parents are struggling to get food onto the table.

"As a direct result of our relationship with Baptist Care & Foodbank, Mission Australia has been able to assist 1200 people with meals over the last 5 months."

- Foodbank NT Client

"Working at Food for Life was all I imagined and better. We started slowly, and I found myself falling in love with a whole bunch of new and very beautiful people!"

- Food for Life Volunteer

"I can't thank you enough for providing this service. The children really benefit from being able to start the day with a full stomach..."

- School Breakfast Program Teacher

About Baptist Care

"Hunger will never go away and neither will the work of Foodbank."

- Foodbank NT

Baptist Care NT exists to express God's love and we aim to do this by meeting people's needs, whether they be social, emotional, physical or spiritual. We provide a range of services including direct food support for struggling individuals and families, programs to encourage self-suffiency and community development, and advocacy assistance. This is achieved in partnership with the churches where possible, and the wider community where appropiate.
