Unit/s = The smallest unit of distribution or use and commonly is in contact with the conetents. example Punnet of strawberries, 1KG Box of ceral, 400g Jar of pasta sauce, 1ltr Bottle of juice, 400g Pack pasta, 110g Tube of toothpaste.  

Carton = Contains multiple units of boxes, packs, cans, jars with an outage packaging of carboard to protect individual units. example 1 carton of 1KG cereal might contain 16 units 

Crate = Contains multiple bottles of juice, milk or punnets with a crate used to carry them. example 1 crate of milk might contain 9 x 2 ltr bottles of milk or 1 punnets of strawberries
